Vendor Spotlight - Sugar and Soul Photography

We are very excited to spot light this company for our up and coming wedding show Destinations With Style - Winnipeg's Premier Luxury Wedding Show on April 22, 2012.

Travel & Events with Style has had the privilege of working Melissa from Sugar and Soul Photography quite a bit over the last year on various wedding projects, most of which are destination weddings. Sugar and Soul’s work will speak for itself, and like all the photographer’s who are sponsoring our event, then are all amazing talents and worth the while to stop by and meet.

So with that we proudly bring you:

Melissa Johnstone, owner of Sugar & Soul Photography, believes that each couple she works with brings their own unique personalities and energies to the table - she applies this notion, combined with both a photojournalistic approach, and fun, sexy portraiture, to create a collection of images that is distinctively "them." Melissa began shooting weddings in 2009 as a hobby, which quickly became her full-time passion. Over 70 weddings later, Melissa is still having a blast doing what she loves, and continues to see each wedding as an opportunity to create an artistic representation of the connection between two people. With a signature style that is modern, sexy, colourful and fun, Sugar & Soul Photography is committed to providing excellent service from booking the date to the delivery of images and beyond, for both local and destination weddings.

For Immediate Release - April 2, 2012

Winnipeg, March 29, 2012 - The Women Business Owners of Manitoba (WBOM) is proud to host their annual gala event that puts the spotlight on women entrepreneurs in Manitoba. The dinner, to be MC'd by Gord Leclerc and Leah Hextahl from CTV, will take place at the Winnipeg Convention Centre on, Thursday, May 17th, and is proudly sponsored by Premier Sponsor TD Bank. The finalists' names are public (see below), however, the winners are not revealed until the evening itself.

This year's 30 finalists come from across the province and represent businesses as diverse as a unique jewelery designer, to a successful esthetic business, from a large travel agency to a well know yoga center. Every single one of these finalists has an amazing business well deserving of their finalist standing.

"Manitoba has amazing women entrepreneurs whose stories are inspiring," said Lucy Camara, President of WBOM and owner of Olatech Business Hosting Corporation. "Anyone in business knows the challenges of being a successful entrepreneur. There are days when the bills exceed receivables, when challenges exceed the triumphs - but when you believe in your business, in the vision you're realizing, your passion fuels your strength to carry on. The Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Awards is an exceptional evening of celebration and fun that recognizes outstanding achievements by Manitoba women in business."
